The designing of a curriculum for a school requires vision. The problems that one faces are:
- How to make effective use of time available in a academic year?
- How to divide the complete course evenly throughout the year?
- How to strike a balance between all extra curricular activities and academic work?
At DPS the curriculum has been designed in a scientific spirit. The study time of the entire year has been divided in two semesters as follows:
First Semester - April - September
Second Semester - October to March
The Syllabi for all the classes has been divided into 18 cycles of 10 days each (approx) with 9 cycles in each semester. The last cycle of each semester is revision cycle.
The final result will be calculated taking 50% of each exam. Some topics of first term will be included in second term. |
