DPS has traversed a long journey from its humble beginning in 1949 and today has more than 800,000 students on its rolls across the globe, nurtured by a dedicated faculty of more than 60,000 teachers. Its alumni include a galaxy of illustrious achievers in virtually every field – Cabinet Secretaries and Chief Secretaries of the Indian Government, Members of Parliament, Chief Justice of India, Comptroller and Auditor General of India, as well as eminent artistes and film actors.

Mr. Salman Khurshid

Mr. Salman Khurshid, an alumni of DPS had been minister of state for external affairs in the Government of India. He has been the member of DPS society since 1985 and has had a coveted stint as President of DPS Society as well. As grandson of Dr. Zakir Hussain, the late President of India and son of Mr. Khursheed Alam Khan, the former Governor of Karnataka, Mr. Salman Khurshid is a befitting heir and a role model to all DIPSITES!
 

        In a survey conducted across 250 reputed schools by the Indian Market Research Bureau this year, DPS emerged as the highest rated educational institution. The parameters included academic excellence, teacher-student ratio, fee vs. service value and infrastructure. A similar survey conducted in 2004 by AC Nelson set DPS on a similar pedestal.
